1 1 Section 1. Section 422.45, Code Supplement 1995, is
1 2 amended by adding the following new subsection:
1 3 NEW SUBSECTION. 50. The gross receipts from the sale of
1 4 computers or communication equipment installed in a motor
1 5 truck or truck tractor. Motor truck or truck tractor means
1 6 the same as defined in section 321.1.
1 7 EXPLANATION
1 8 This bill provides a sales tax exemption for sales of
1 9 computers and communication equipment installed in a motor
1 10 truck or truck tractor.
1 11 "Motor truck" means a motor vehicle designed primarily for
1 12 carrying livestock, merchandise, freight of any kind, or over
1 13 nine persons or passengers. "Truck tractor" means a motor
1 14 vehicle designed and used primarily for drawing other vehicles
1 15 and not so constructed as to carry a load other than a part of
1 16 the weight of the vehicle and load being drawn.
