House Study Bill 312

  1  1    Section 1.  Section 901.5, Code 1995, is amended by adding
  1  2 the following new subsection:
  1  3    NEW SUBSECTION.  10.  If the victim consents, the court may
  1  4 order the defendant to participate in a local victim-offender
  1  5 reconciliation program with the victim as a condition of any
  1  6 judgment or sentence deferred, suspended, or imposed by the
  1  7 court.  
  1  8                           EXPLANATION
  1  9    This bill permits the court, if the victim consents, to
  1 10 order the defendant to participate in a reconciliation program
  1 11 with the victim as a condition of any judgment or sentence
  1 12 deferred, suspended, or imposed by the court.
