1 2 BY KREIMAN
1 3 A House Resolution honoring students and teachers
1 4 from Albia Community High School for their
1 5 accomplishments at the recent Orlando Festival
1 6 of Music in Orlando, Florida.
1 7 WHEREAS, students from Albia Community High School
1 8 recently participated in the Orlando Festival of
1 9 Music, a musical competition with students from seven
1 10 other states, which was held in Orlando, Florida; and
1 11 WHEREAS, the Albia Community High School Marching
1 12 Band earned first place honors and a superior rating
1 13 in the marching band competition and was named Grand
1 14 Champion Marching Band; and
1 15 WHEREAS, the Albia Community High School Concert
1 16 Band earned first place in the class A concert band
1 17 competition; and
1 18 WHEREAS, the Albia Community High School Drill Team
1 19 Pom Pom Squad earned first place honors in the open
1 20 class competition; and
1 21 WHEREAS, the Albia Community High School Jazz Band
1 22 earned third place honors and a superior rating in the
1 23 open class competition; and
1 24 WHEREAS, students from Albia Community High School
1 25 who participated in the Orlando Festival of Music,
1 26 through their hard work, dedication, and
1 27 determination, brought renown and distinction to Albia
1 28 Community High School, the City of Albia, and the
1 29 State of Iowa; NOW THEREFORE,
1 30 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES,
2 1 That students and teachers from Albia Community High
2 2 School be congratulated and commended for their
2 3 performance and honors at the Orlando Festival of
2 4 Music in Orlando, Florida.
2 5 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That an official copy of
2 6 this Resolution be prepared for presentation to
2 7 students and teachers of Albia Community High School
2 8 who participated in the musical competition.
