1 1 Section 1. NEW SECTION. 456A.37 MONEYS FROM SALE OF
1 2 STATE FORESTRY PRODUCTS – GENERAL FUND.
1 3 All moneys received from the sale of forestry products,
1 4 such as, but not limited to, timber and wood products, from
1 5 state forests and state public lands shall be deposited by the
1 6 department in the general fund of the state. This section
1 7 shall not apply to moneys received from the sale of state
1 8 nursery stock.
1 9 EXPLANATION
1 10 Currently, moneys received from the sale of forestry
1 11 products are deposited in the conservation fund of the
1 12 department of natural resources. This bill provides that all
1 13 moneys received from the sale of forestry products, such as,
1 14 but not limited to, timber and wood products, from state
1 15 forests and state public lands shall be deposited by the
1 16 department of natural resources in the general fund of the
1 17 state. The bill does not apply to moneys received from the
1 18 sale of state nursery stock.
