1 1 Section 1. Section 232.149, subsection 4, Code 1995, is
1 2 amended by adding the following new paragraph:
1 3 NEW PARAGRAPH. f. Officials of the elementary or
1 4 secondary school the child attends, if any, including the
1 5 superintendent of the school district or the superintendent's
1 6 designee, or the authorities in charge of the nonpublic school
1 7 which the child attends.
1 8 EXPLANATION
1 9 This bill provides that public or nonpublic school
1 10 officials may inspect records of a law enforcement or other
1 11 criminal justice agency regarding a child taken into custody
1 12 under the juvenile justice law.
