1 1 Section 1. Section 232.2, subsection 12, Code 1995, is
1 2 amended by adding the following new paragraph:
1 3 NEW PARAGRAPH. c. The violation of section 299.1 where
1 4 the child has previously committed a delinquent act and is
1 5 subject to an informal adjustment agreement under section
1 6 232.29, a consent decree under section 232.46, or a
1 7 dispositional order following an adjudication of delinquency
1 8 under section 232.52.
1 9 EXPLANATION
1 10 This bill provides that a juvenile, who has committed a
1 11 delinquent act and who is subject to an informal adjustment
1 12 agreement, consent decree, or dispositional order following
1 13 the juvenile's adjudication for the delinquent act, commits a
1 14 separate delinquent act if the juvenile violates section 299.1
1 15 regarding compulsory school attendance.
1 16 This bill may contain a state mandate under chapter 25B. A
1 17 political subdivision need not comply with a state mandate
1 18 which may be contained in the bill unless an appropriation is
1 19 made in accordance with section 25B.2, subsection 3, fully or
1 20 proportionately funding the mandate.
