  1  1    Section 1.  NEW SECTION.  481A.40  ADDITIONAL DEER HUNTING
  1  2 LICENSES.
  1  3    Pursuant to section 481A.39, if the natural resource
  1  4 commission finds that there is an excess deer population in a
  1  5 hunting zone, the commission may authorize the taking of not
  1  6 more than five deer by each hunter issued a deer hunting
  1  7 license for that hunting zone.  
  1  8                           EXPLANATION
  1  9    This bill authorizes the natural resource commission to
  1 10 authorize the taking of up to five deer per licensed hunter if
  1 11 the commission finds that a hunting zone is overpopulated with
  1 12 deer.
