1 1 Section 1. NEW SECTION. 35A.4 CENTRALIZED VETERANS
1 2 RECORDS &endash; STORAGE.
1 3 The commission shall store and maintain all state military
1 4 veterans records relating to military service, bonuses,
1 5 awards, war orphans educational funds, and graves registry.
1 6 The veterans records shall be indexed and catalogued in a
1 7 computerized format. The veterans records shall be stored at
1 8 the seat of state government at the state capitol building,
1 9 the state historical building, or the office of the
1 10 commission, or at more than one of those locations.
1 11 EXPLANATION
1 12 This bill provides that the state military veterans records
1 13 are to be indexed and catalogued in a computerized format.
1 14 The state veterans records are to be stored at the seat of
1 15 state government at the state capitol building, the state
1 16 historical building, or the office of the commission, or at
1 17 more than one of those locations.
