  1  1    Section 1.  Section 483A.1A, Code 1995, is amended by
  1  2 adding the following new subsection:
  1  3    NEW SUBSECTION.  4.  "Resident" means a natural person who:
  1  4    a.  Meets any of the elements specified in section 321.1A,
  1  5 subsections 1 through 6 only.
  1  6    b.  Is a full-time student at an educational institution
  1  7 located in this state and resides in this state while
  1  8 attending the educational institution.  A student qualifies as
  1  9 a resident pursuant to this paragraph only for the purpose of
  1 10 purchasing any resident license specified in section 483A.1 or
  1 11 484A.2.
  1 12    c.  Is a nonresident under eighteen years of age whose
  1 13 parent is a resident of this state.
  1 14    Sec. 2.  Section 483A.26, Code 1995, is amended to read as
  1 15 follows:
  1 16    483A.26  FALSE CLAIMS.
  1 17    A nonresident shall not obtain a resident license by
  1 18 falsely claiming residency in the state.  The presumptions and
  1 19 provisions of section 321.1A relating to residency apply to
  1 20 licenses under this chapter.  The use of a license by a person
  1 21 other than the person to whom the license is issued is
  1 22 unlawful and nullifies the license.
