1 1 HOUSE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION NO.
1 2 BY WELTER, GARMAN, HEATON, JACOBS, LARKIN,
1 3 MYERS, SCHULTE, and VANDE HOEF
1 4 A Concurrent Resolution honoring the seventy-fifth
1 5 anniversary of the Division of Criminal Investi-
1 6 gation of the Iowa Department of Public Safety.
1 7 WHEREAS, the Division of Criminal Investigation of
1 8 the Iowa Department of Public Safety has been
1 9 diligently and proudly serving the citizens of Iowa
1 10 since 1921; and
1 11 WHEREAS, law enforcement agencies, county
1 12 attorneys, and other criminal justice agencies within
1 13 Iowa and elsewhere have relied upon the expertise of
1 14 the Division in performing investigations and other
1 15 services; and
1 16 WHEREAS, the Division, and each of the men and
1 17 women who have been employed by the Division, has
1 18 consistently worked to solve serious crimes; and
1 19 WHEREAS, the Division is recognized as one of the
1 20 finest state investigative agencies in the country;
1 21 and
1 22 WHEREAS, the Division is celebrating its seventy-
1 23 fifth year of public service to Iowans during April
1 24 1996; NOW THEREFORE,
1 25 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES, THE
1 26 SENATE CONCURRING, That the General Assembly recognize
1 27 the seventy-fifth anniversary of the Division of
1 28 Criminal Investigation, honor the Division for its
1 29 role in criminal justice work in Iowa, congratulate
1 30 the men and women who serve the Division, and thank
2 1 them for effectively and tirelessly performing their
2 2 duties on behalf of all Iowans.
2 3 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That an official copy of
2 4 this resolution be prepared for presentation to the
2 5 Division of Criminal Investigation of the Iowa
2 6 Department of Public Safety.
