1 2 2409, as amended, passed, and reprinted by the Senate,
1 3 as follows:
1 4 #1. Page 1, by striking lines 3 through 5 and
1 5 inserting the following:
1 6 "# . Page 1, line 15, by inserting after the
1 7 word and figure "chapter 260F," the following: "and".
1 8 # . Page 1, line 16, by striking the words and
1 9 figure "15.341, and the loan" and inserting the
1 10 following: "15.341.""
1 11 #2. Page 1, by striking lines 9 through 22.
1 12 #3. Page 1, by striking lines 25 through 29 and
1 13 inserting the following:
1 14 "# . Page 7, by striking lines 20 through 24 and
1 15 inserting the following: "political party. Of the
1 16 nine voting members, one member shall represent a non-
1 17 profit organization involved in workforce development
1 18 services, four members shall represent employers, and
1 19 four members shall represent nonsupervisory employees.
1 20 Of the members appointed by the governor to represent
1 21 nonsupervisory employees, two members shall be from
1 22 statewide labor organizations, one member shall be an
1 23 employee representative of a labor management council,
1 24 and one member shall be a person with experience in
1 25 worker training programs. The governor shall consider
1 26 recommendations from statewide labor organizations for
1 27 the members representing nonsupervisory employees.
1 28 The governor shall appoint the nine voting"."
1 29 #4. Page 2, by inserting after line 6 the
1 30 following:
1 31 "# . Page 11, by striking line 12 and inserting
1 32 the following: ". The department of economic
1 33 development, the department of education, and training
1 34 providers shall report information concerning the use
1 35 of any state or federal training or retraining funds
1 36 to the department of workforce development in a form
1 37 as required by the department. The accountability
1 38 system"."
1 39 #5. By striking page 2, line 32, through page 3,
1 40 line 16, and inserting the following:
1 41 "# . Page 16, line 17, by inserting after the
1 42 word "development." the following: "However, if the
1 43 state workforce development board determines that an
1 44 area of the state would be adversely affected by the
1 45 designation of the service delivery areas by the
1 46 department, the department may, after consultation
1 47 with the applicable regional advisory boards and with
1 48 the approval of the state workforce development board,
1 49 make accommodations in determining the service
1 50 delivery areas, including, but not limited to, the
2 1 creation of a new service delivery area. In no event
2 2 shall the department create more than sixteen service
2 3 delivery areas."
2 4 #6. Page 3, by inserting before line 17 the
2 5 following:
2 6 "# . Page 19, line 5, by inserting after the
2 7 word "service." the following:
2 8 "The department of workforce development shall
2 9 consult with all noncontract covered employees, or in
2 10 the case of contract covered employees, the exclusive
2 11 bargaining representative for those employees,

2 13 related matters pertaining to the department.""

2 15 and correcting internal references as necessary.
