PAG LIN
  1  1    Amend the amendment, H-5260, to House File 2235 as
  1  2 follows:
  1  3    #1.  Page 6, by inserting after line 47 the
  1  4 following:
  1  5    "Sec.    .  Section 523H.8, Code Supplement 1995,
  1  6 is amended by adding the following new subsection:
  1  7    NEW SUBSECTION.  3.  A franchisor shall not refuse
  1  8 to renew a franchise if the refusal is for the purpose
  1  9 of converting the franchisee's business into an
  1 10 operation that will be owned directly or indirectly by
  1 11 the franchisor."
  1 12    #2.  By renumbering as necessary.
