  1  1    Amend the amendment, H-3498, to Senate File 266, as
  1  2 amended, passed, and reprinted by the Senate, as
  1  3 follows:
  1  4    #1.  Page 4, by inserting after line 26 the
  1  5 following:
  1  6    "Sec.    .  The general assembly strongly
  1  7 encourages an area education agency which received
  1  8 funds in the fiscal year beginning July 1, 1994, and
  1  9 ending June 30, 1995, for purposes of establishing a
  1 10 character education pilot program, to reallocate and
  1 11 expend, in the fiscal year beginning July 1, 1995, and
  1 12 ending June 30, 1996, $45,300 from the amount paid to
  1 13 the agency for educational services under section
  1 14 257.35, for purposes of continuing the progress made
  1 15 under the character education pilot program."
  1 16    #2.  By renumbering and correcting internal
  1 17 references as necessary.
