  1  1    Amend Senate File 406, as amended, passed, and
  1  2 reprinted by the Senate as follows:
  1  3    #1.  By striking everything after the enacting
  1  4 clause and inserting the following:
  1  5    "Section 1.  Section 256.7, Code 1995, is amended
  1  6 by adding the following new subsection:
  1  7    NEW SUBSECTION.  21.  Exempt accredited nonpublic
  1  8 schools from any requirement to establish and operate
  1  9 a media services program.
  1 10    Sec. 2.  REPEAL.  Section 256.11A, Code 1995, is
  1 11 repealed."
  1 12    #2.  Title page, by striking lines 1 through 6 and
  1 13 inserting the following:  "An Act directing the state
  1 14 board of education to exempt accredited nonpublic
  1 15 schools from any requirement to establish and operate
  1 16 a media services program."
