  1  1    Amend the amendment, H-3109, to House File 2 as
  1  2 follows:
  1  3    #1. Page 10, by inserting after line 13 the
  1  4 following:
  1  5    "   .  The murder was especially heinous,
  1  6 atrocious, cruel, or manifesting exceptional
  1  7 depravity.  For purposes of this subsection, the
  1  8 phrase "especially heinous, atrocious, cruel, or
  1  9 manifesting exceptional depravity" means a
  1 10 conscienceless or pitiless crime which is
  1 11 unnecessarily torturous to the victim."
  1 12    #2.  By numbering, renumbering, and correcting
  1 13 internal references as necessary.
