Senate File 298

On motion of Senator Putney, Senate File 298, a bill for an act
expanding the criminal offense of possessing contraband in
correctional institutions to include possessing contraband in a secure
facility for the detention or custody of juveniles, a detention facility,
or a jail, was taken up for consideration.

Senator Putney moved that the bill be read the last time now and
placed upon its passage, which motion prevailed by a voice vote, and
the bill was read the last time.

On the question “Shall the bill pass?” (S.F. 298), the vote was:
