The House met pursuant to adjournment at 9:35 a.m., Tymeson of
Madison in the chair.
The Journal of Thursday, March 27, 2003 was approved.
PETITION FILED
The following petition was received and placed on file:
By Jochum of Dubuque, from one hundred eighteen Dubuque
County residents asking the Iowa legislature to support raising the
minimum wage to $6.15 per hour.
HOUSE FILE 651 REFERRED
The Speaker announced that House File 651, previously placed on
the calendar was referred to committee on appropriations.
EXPLANATIONS OF VOTE
I was necessarily absent from the House Chamber on March 27,
2003. Had I been present, I would have voted "aye" on House Files
216 and 276.
CARROLL of Poweshiek
I was necessarily absent from the House chamber on March 24 and
25, 2003. Had I been present, I would have voted "aye" on House
Files 397, 480, 505, 509, 516, 561, 623, 624, 633 and 636. I would
have voted "nay" on House Files 400, 575, 584, 614 and 655.
