1 3 (COMPANION TO LSB 6306HH BY BUKTA)
1 4 A Resolution honoring Eastern Iowa Community College
1 5 Men's Basketball Coach Bob Walker.
1 6 WHEREAS, Bob Walker began his tenure at Eastern
1 7 Iowa Community College in 1981; and
1 8 WHEREAS, Bob Walker has coached men's basketball at
1 9 Eastern Iowa Community College since his tenure began;
1 10 and
1 11 WHEREAS, Bob Walker has also honorably served
1 12 Eastern Iowa Community College as both an athletic
1 13 director and an instructor of physical education and
1 14 teacher preparation courses; and
1 15 WHEREAS, Bob Walker has had a positive influence on
1 16 the lives of many young people on the basketball court
1 17 and in the classroom; and
1 18 WHEREAS, Bob Walker collected his 400th career win
1 19 at Eastern Iowa Community College with a win over the
1 20 St. Ambrose Junior Varsity Basketball Team; NOW
1 21 THEREFORE,
1 22 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE, That the Iowa Senate
1 23 congratulates Coach Bob Walker on his 400th win as a
1 24 basketball coach at Eastern Iowa Community College;
1 25 and
1 26 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That, upon passage of this
1 27 Resolution, the Secretary of the Senate shall prepare
1 28 an official copy for presentation to Coach Bob Walker.
