1 3 A Senate Resolution honoring University of Iowa football
1 4 player Robert Gallery.
1 5 WHEREAS, Robert Gallery, a University of Iowa
1 6 senior from Masonville, Iowa, was awarded the 2003
1 7 Outland Trophy designating him the nation's best
1 8 college football interior lineman in the country; and
1 9 WHEREAS, Robert Gallery was also named first team
1 10 All-American by the Associated Press and first team
1 11 All-Big Ten Conference, and was selected the Big Ten
1 12 Conference Offensive Lineman of the Year; and
1 13 WHEREAS, Robert Gallery started 44 consecutive
1 14 games on the offensive line for the University of Iowa
1 15 and led the Iowa football team to two consecutive New
1 16 Year's Day bowl appearances; and
1 17 WHEREAS, Robert Gallery received academic All-Big
1 18 Ten awards in the past three seasons; NOW THEREFORE,
1 19 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE, That Robert Gallery
1 20 be congratulated for the success and recognition he
1 21 helped bring to the University of Iowa and to the
1 22 Hawkeye football team and for his outstanding
1 23 leadership, inspiration, and teamwork exhibited
1 24 throughout his career at the University of Iowa.
