1 1 Amend the Senate amendment, H-8568, to House File
1 2 2302, as amended, passed, and reprinted by the House,
1 3 as follows:
1 4 #1. Page 13, by inserting after line 47 the
1 5 following:
1 6 "Sec. . NEW SECTION. 99F.4C GAMBLING GAMES
1 7 PROHIBITION AREA.
1 8 1. Notwithstanding any provision of this chapter
1 9 or chapter 99D to the contrary, the commission shall
1 10 not grant a license to conduct gambling games to a
1 11 facility to be located in the applicable area as
1 12 described in this section.
1 13 2. For purposes of this section, the "applicable
1 14 area" means that portion of the city of Des Moines in
1 15 Polk county bounded by a line commencing at the point
1 16 East Euclid avenue intersects East Fourteenth street,
1 17 then proceeding south along East Fourteenth street and
1 18 Southeast Fourteenth street until it intersects Park
1 19 avenue, then proceeding west along Park avenue until
1 20 it intersects Fleur drive, then proceeding north along
1 21 Fleur drive until it intersects Eighteenth street,
1 22 then proceeding north along Eighteenth street until it
1 23 intersects Ingersoll avenue, then proceeding west
1 24 along Ingersoll avenue until it intersects Martin
1 25 Luther King Jr. parkway, then proceeding northerly
1 26 along Martin Luther King Jr. parkway until it
1 27 intersects Euclid avenue, then proceeding east along
1 28 Euclid avenue and East Euclid avenue to the point of
1 29 origin. For purposes of this section, such reference
1 30 to a street or other boundary means such street or
1 31 boundary as they were delineated on the official Pub.
