1 3 #1. Page 165, by inserting after line 22 the
1 4 following:
1 5 "The homeland security and emergency management
1 6 division shall continue working with government
1 7 contractors involved with homeland security to utilize
1 8 the Iowa communications network for homeland security
1 9 first responder communications and technology-related
1 10 research and development projects as authorized by
1 11 section 8D.9, as amended by this Act."
1 12 #2. Page 169, by inserting after line 2 the
1 13 following:
1 14 "Sec. . Section 8D.2, Code Supplement 2003, is
1 15 amended by adding the following new subsection:
1 16 NEW SUBSECTION. 7. "Government contractor" means
1 17 a contractor involved with the development, testing,
1 18 and manufacture of homeland security first responder
1 19 communication and technology-related equipment.
1 20 Sec. . Section 8D.9, Code Supplement 2003, is
1 21 amended by adding the following new subsection:
1 22 NEW SUBSECTION. 4. A government contractor
1 23 involved with homeland security may utilize the
1 24 network in working with educational providers and
1 25 federally funded training centers for homeland
1 26 security first responder communication and technology
1 27 related-research and development projects."
1 28 #3. By renumbering as necessary.
