1 7 chapter as provided in section 99F.4C."

1 20 MUTUEL WAGERING AND ON THE NUMBER OF GAMBLING GAMES OR
1 21 SLOT MACHINES.
1 22 1. Commencing with the effective date of this
1 23 section of this Act, the commission shall not issue a
1 24 license to conduct pari-mutuel wagering at a racetrack
1 25 pursuant to chapter 99D or to conduct gambling games
1 26 on an excursion boat or at a pari-mutuel racetrack
1 27 pursuant to this chapter.
1 28 2. Commencing with the effective date of this
1 29 section of this Act, the commission shall not
1 30 authorize any of the following:
1 31 a. An increase in the number of gambling games or
1 32 the number of slot machines on an excursion gambling
1 33 boat.
1 34 b. An increase in the number of slot machines at a
1 35 pari-mutuel racetrack.
1 36 3. This section does not affect the validity of a
1 37 license issued by the commission pursuant to chapter
1 38 99D or this chapter before the effective date of this
1 39 section of this Act or the authority of the commission
1 40 to suspend, revoke, transfer, or renew a license
1 41 issued before the effective date of this section of
1 42 this Act pursuant to chapter 99D or this chapter."
1 43 #6. By striking page 18, line 28, through page 19,
1 44 line 1, and inserting the following: "to operate an
1 45 excursion gambling boat. The commission shall decide
1 46 which".
1 47 #7. Page 23, by striking lines 7 through 20.
1 48 #8. Page 24, lines 3 and 4, by striking the words
1 49 and figure "without a table games license issued
1 50 pursuant to section 99F.4A".
2 1 #9. Page 24, by striking lines 6 through 8.
2 2 #10. Page 24, line 9, by striking the letter "c."
2 3 and inserting the following: "b."
2 4 #11. Page 29, by inserting after line 22 the
2 5 following:
2 6 "2A. The section of this Act enacting section
2 7 99F.4C, being deemed of immediate importance, takes
2 8 effect upon enactment."
2 9 #12. Title page, line 3, by inserting after the
2 10 word "boats," the following: "imposing a moratorium
2 11 for issuance of licenses for gambling games and pari-
2 12 mutuel wagering,".
