  1  1    Amend the amendment, H-8024, to House File 2264, as
  1  2 follows:
  1  3    "#1.  Page 1, by striking lines 2 through 46 and
  1  4 inserting the following:
  1  5    #___.  Page 2, by inserting after line 28 the
  1  6 following:
  1  7    "Sec. 100.  2003 Iowa Acts, First Extraordinary
  1  8 Session, chapter 2, section 66, subsection 1,
  1  9 unnumbered paragraph 2, is amended to read as follows:
  1 10    For programs administered by the department of
  1 11 economic development:  
  1 12 FY 2003-2004...................................... $ 45,000,000
  1 13 FY 2004-2005...................................... $ 41,000,000

  1 15 FY 2005-2006...................................... $ 44,000,000
  1 16 FY 2006-2007...................................... $ 48,000,000
  1 17    Sec. 101.  EDUCATION FUNDING – APPROPRIATION.
  1 18 There is appropriated from the grow Iowa values fund
  1 19 created in section 15G.108 to the department of
  1 20 education for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2004,
  1 21 and ending June 30, 2005, the following amount, or so
  1 22 much thereof as is necessary, to be used for the
  1 23 purpose designated:
  1 24    To supplement amounts appropriated pursuant to
  1 25 section 257.16 from the general fund of the state to
  1 26 pay the foundation aid and supplementary aid under
  1 27 section 257.4, subsection 2:  
  1 28 .................................................. $ 41,000,000
  1 29    Amounts appropriated pursuant to this section shall
  1 30 be in addition to, and shall not replace, funds
  1 31 otherwise appropriated pursuant to section 257.16 for
  1 32 the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2004, and ending
  1 33 June 30, 2005.
  1 34    Notwithstanding section 8.33, moneys appropriated
  1 35 in this section that remain unencumbered or
  1 36 unobligated at the close of the fiscal year shall not
  1 37 revert but shall remain available for expenditure for
  1 38 the purposes designated."
  1 39    #___.  Page 2, by inserting after line 32 the
  1 40 following:
  1 41    "EFFECTIVE DATE.  Sections 100 and 101 of this Act,
  1 42 being deemed of immediate importance, take effect upon
  1 43 enactment."
  1 44    #___.  Title page, line 5, by inserting after the
  1 45 word "applicability" the following:  "and an
  1 46 effective"."
