1 2 #1. Page 1, by inserting after line 33, the
1 3 following:
1 4 "Sec. 2. NEW SECTION. 483A.29 DEER POPULATION
1 5 MANAGEMENT PLAN.
1 6 A person who holds an interest in land, including a
1 7 titleholder or tenant, and charges hunters a fee to
1 8 hunt deer on the land, shall prepare and adhere to a
1 9 deer population management plan approved by the
1 10 department. The primary purpose of a deer population
1 11 management plan shall be to manage deer populations on
1 12 land where deer hunting for a fee is allowed so that
1 13 damage by deer to agricultural crops on adjacent land
1 14 is minimized. The department shall adopt rules
1 15 prescribing the format and content of such plans.
1 16 This section does not apply to licensed hunting
1 17 preserves."
1 18 #2. Title page, line 2, by inserting after the
1 19 word "guides" the following: ", and to deer
1 20 population management,".
