EDUCATION FUNDING – APPROPRIATION. There 1 15 is appropriated from the grow Iowa values fund created 1 16 in section 15G.108 to the department of education for 1 17 the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2004, and ending 1 18 June 30, 2005, the following amount, or so much 1 19 thereof as is necessary, to be used for the purpose 1 20 designated: 1 21 To supplement amounts appropriated pursuant to 1 22 section 257.16 from the general fund of the state to 1 23 pay the foundation aid and supplementary aid under 1 24 section 257.4, subsection 2: 1 25 .................................................. $ 41,000,000 1 26 Amounts appropriated pursuant to this section shall 1 27 be in addition to, and shall not replace, funds 1 28 otherwise appropriated pursuant to section 257.16 for 1 29 the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2004, and ending 1 30 June 30, 2005. 1 31 Notwithstanding section 8.33, moneys appropriated 1 32 in this section that remain unencumbered or 1 33 unobligated at the close of the fiscal year shall not 1 34 revert but shall remain available for expenditure for 1 35 the purposes designated." 1 36 #2.
