1 2 #1. Page 59, by inserting before line 25 the
1 3 following:
1 4 "Sec. . Section 514I.4, Code 2003, is amended
1 5 by adding the following new subsection:
1 6 NEW SUBSECTION. 1A. The director, with the
1 7 approval of the board, may contract with participating
1 8 insurers to provide dental only services.
1 9 Sec. . Section 514I.5, Code 2003, is amended by
1 10 adding the following new subsection:
1 11 NEW SUBSECTION. 9. The hawk-i board may provide
1 12 approval to the director to contract with
1 13 participating insurers to provide dental only
1 14 services. In determining whether to provide such
1 15 approval to the director, the board shall take into
1 16 consideration the impact on the overall program of
1 17 single source contracting for dental services."
1 18 #2. By renumbering as necessary.
