1 5 MEDICAL ASSISTANCE PROGRAM SUPPLEMENTATION
1 6 Sec. . MEDICAL ASSISTANCE APPROPRIATION
1 7 SUPPLEMENTATION – FISCAL YEAR 2002-2003. There is
1 8 appropriated from the following sources, to the
1 9 department of human services, for the fiscal year
1 10 beginning July 1, 2002, and ending June 30, 2003, the
1 11 following amounts, or so much thereof as is necessary,
1 12 to supplement the appropriations made for the medical
1 13 assistance program for that fiscal year:
1 14 1. From the general fund of the state:
1 15 .................................................. $ 41,535,000
1 16 2. From the senior living trust fund created in
1 17 section 249H.4:
1 18 .................................................. $ 9,465,000
1 19 3. From the hospital trust fund created in section
1 20 249I.4:
1 21 .................................................. $ 7,000,000"
1 22 Sec. . MEDICAL ASSISTANCE PROGRAM – REVERSION
1 23 TO SENIOR LIVING TRUST FUND FOR FY 2002-2003.
1 24 Notwithstanding section 8.33, if moneys appropriated
1 25 in this division for supplementation of the medical
1 26 assistance program appropriation for the fiscal year
1 27 beginning July 1, 2002, and ending June 30, 2003, from
1 28 the general fund of the state, the senior living trust
1 29 fund, and the hospital trust fund are in excess of
1 30 actual expenditures for the medical assistance program
1 31 and remain unencumbered or unobligated at the close of
1 32 the fiscal year, the excess moneys shall not revert
1 33 but shall be transferred to the senior living trust
1 34 fund created in section 249H.4.
1 35 Sec. ___. EFFECTIVE DATE. This division of this
1 36 Act, being deemed of immediate importance, takes
1 37 effect upon enactment."
