IMMEDIATELY MESSAGED

Senator Angelo asked and received unanimous consent that
House Files 678, 2339, and 2592 be immediately messaged to the
House.

HOUSE MESSAGES RECEIVED AND CONSIDERED

The following messages were received from the Chief Clerk of the
House:

MADAM PRESIDENT: I am directed to inform your honorable body that the
House has on April 11, 2002, passed the following bill in which the concurrence of the
House was asked:

Senate File 2321, a bill for an act relating to sales and use taxes
by requiring the department of revenue and finance to collect data on
the extent and the effect on taxes of electronic commerce in the state,
striking the repeal of the tax treatment of sales where the substance
of the transaction is delivered by electronic waves, digitally, or by
way of cable or fiber optics, and establishing a committee to enter into
multistate discussions on the simplification of the sales and use taxes
and including an effective date.

ALSO: That the House has on April 11, 2002, amended the Senate amendment,
concurred in the Senate amendment as amended, and passed the following bill in
which the concurrence of the Senate is asked:

House File 2614, a bill for an act relating to and making
appropriations to state departments and agencies from the tobacco
