Des Moines, Iowa, Tuesday, March 19, 2002
The Senate met in regular session at 9:07 a.m., President Kramer
presiding.
Prayer was offered by Miss Sarah Carlson from Rockwell City,
Iowa. Miss Carlson, a vocal performance major at the University of
Northern Iowa and former Senate Page, sang "Be Thou My Vision."
She was the guest of Senator Sexton.
The Journal of Monday, March 18, 2002, was approved.
RECESS
On motion of Senator Iverson, the Senate recessed at 9:17 a.m.
until 1:00 p.m.
AFTERNOON SESSION
The Senate reconvened at 1:22 p.m., President Kramer presiding.
