The Senate met in regular session at 9:01 a.m., President
Pro Tempore McKean presiding.

Prayer was offered by the Reverend Peter E. Mueller, pastor of the
Harvest Community Church in Ankeny, Iowa. He was the guest of
Senator Lamberti.

The Journal of Monday, March 11, 2002, was approved.

RECESS

On motion of Senator Iverson, the Senate recessed at 9:05 a.m.
until 3:15 p.m.
