requesting the proposal of an amendment to the Constitution of the United States
restricting the ability of the federal judiciary to mandate any state or subdivision of
any state to levy or increase taxes.
Recommendation: DO PASS.
Final Vote: Ayes, 9: King, Bolkcom, Drake, Jensen, Maddox, McKean, Rittmer,
Schuerer, and Sexton. Nays, 4: Kibbie, Dearden, Deluhery, and Fink. Absent or not
voting, 2: Lamberti and Connolly.
Fiscal Note: NOT REQUIRED UNDER JOINT RULE 17.

Final Bill Action: SENATE FILE 2017, a bill for an act relating to the membership
of the commission of veterans affairs.
