  CONFIRMATION OF GOVERNOR'S APPOINTMENT
  (Individual Confirmation Calendar)

  Senator Iverson called up the appointment of Michael Gartner, as
  Chairperson of the Vision Iowa Board, placed on the Individual
  Confirmation Calendar on March 22, 2001, and found on page 802 of
  the Senate Journal.

  Senator Iverson moved that the foregoing appointment be
  confirmed by the Senate.

  On the question "Shall the appointee be confirmed?" the vote was:
