  The Senate met in regular session at 9:07 a.m., President Kramer
  presiding.

  Prayer was offered by the Reverend Corey Miller, pastor of the
  Church of Christ in Carroll, Iowa, guest of Senator Behn.

  The Journal of Monday, March 26, 2001, was approved.

  LEAVES OF ABSENCE

  Leaves of absence were granted as follows:

  Senator Flynn, until he arrives, on request of Senator Gronstal; and Senator
  Redwine, until he arrives, on request of Senator Iverson.

  BILLS RE-REFERRED TO COMMITTEES

  Senator Iverson asked and received unanimous consent that
  Senate Files 139, 379, and 457 be re-referred from the Regular
  Calendar to the committee on Appropriations and that Senate
  Files 489 and 510 be re-referred from the Regular Calendar to the
  committee on Ways and Means.

  CONSIDERATION OF BILLS
  (Regular Calendar)

  Senator Iverson asked and received unanimous consent to take up
  for consideration House File 89 and Senate File 433.
