Gipp of Winneshiek offered the following amendment H(1767 filed
by him and moved its adoption:

1 Amend House File 742 as follows:
2 1. Page 1, line 21, by striking the words
3 "associated with connecting" and inserting the
4 following: "of entering into a lease-purchase
5 agreement to connect".
6 2. Page 1, by inserting after line 23 the
7 following:
8 "Sec. ___. There is appropriated from the rebuild
9 Iowa infrastructure fund to the department of
10 corrections for the fiscal year beginning July 1,
11 2002, and ending June 30, 2003, the following amount,
12 or so much thereof as is necessary, to be used for the
13 purpose designated:
14 To supplement funds appropriated in 1998 Iowa Acts,
15 chapter 1219, section 2, subsection 3, for
16 construction of a 200-bed facility at the Iowa state
17 penitentiary at Fort Madison:
18 $ 2,000,000"
19 3. By renumbering, redesignating, and correcting
20 internal references as necessary.
Amendment H(1767 was adopted.
Warnstadt of Woodbury asked and received unanimous consent to
withdraw amendment H-1809 filed by him from the floor.
Quirk of Chickasaw offered amendment H(1813 filed by him from
the floor and requested division as follows:
