Horbach of Tama moved the adoption of amendment H-1590.
A non-record roll call was requested.
The ayes were 51, nays 36.
Amendment H-1590 was adopted.
Jenkins of Black Hawk offered the following amendment H-1610
filed by him from the floor and moved its adoption:
H-1610
1 Amend House File 719 as follows:
2 1. Page 5, by inserting after line 24 the
3 following:
4 "4. Notwithstanding the distribution formula
5 contained in section 8.62 for an operational
6 appropriation which remains unexpended or unencumbered
7 for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2000, 75 percent
8 of the unexpended or unencumbered moneys subject to
9 section 8.62 are appropriated to the pooled technology
10 account. The remaining 25 percent of such moneys
11 shall remain with the entity to which the operational
12 appropriation was made. Notwithstanding section 8.33,
13 for an appropriation other than an operational
14 appropriation as provided in section 8.62 which
15 remains unencumbered for the fiscal year beginning
16 July 1, 2000, 100 percent of the unexpended or
17 unencumbered moneys are appropriated to the pooled
18 technology account.
19 Notwithstanding this subsection, the first
20 $10,000,000 subject to reversion and appropriation to
21 the pooled technology account under this subsection
22 shall be deposited in the general fund to be used for
23 balancing the state's budget for the fiscal year
24 beginning July 1, 2001, and ending June 30, 2002."
Amendment H-1610 was adopted.
Jenkins of Black Hawk moved that the bill be read a last time now
and placed upon its passage which motion prevailed and the bill was
read a last time.
