The House met pursuant to adjournment at 1:04 p.m., Speaker
Siegrist in the chair.
Prayer was offered by Reverend Steven Teske, pastor of Trinity
Lutheran Church, Shenandoah. He was the guest of Representative
Effie Lee Bogges of Page County and Representative Hubert Houser
of Pottawattamie County.
The Journal of Friday, April 13, 2001 was approved.
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Adam Elliott, Eagle Scout
from Des Moines. He was the guest of the Honorable Clarence
Hoffman, state representative from Crawford County and the
Honorable Steve Falck, state representative from Fayette County.
He is the son of Judy, legislative secretary to Representative Steve
Falck, and Dennis Elliott.
INTRODUCTION OF BILL
House File 717, by Jochum, a bill for an act relating to disclosure
of information on use of tax revenues for economic development
purposes.
Read first time and referred to committee on ways and means.
MESSAGE FROM THE SENATE
The following message was received from the Senate:
Mr. Speaker: I am directed to inform your honorable body that the Senate has on
