9 Sec. . 2000 Iowa Acts, chapter 1227, section 2,
10 is amended to read as follows:
11 SEC. 2. JUDICIAL RETIREMENT FUND. There is
12 appropriated from the general fund of the state to the
13 judicial retirement fund for the fiscal year beginning
14 July 1, 2000, and ending June 30, 2001, the following
15 amount, or so much thereof as is necessary, to be used
16 for the purpose designated:
17 For the state's contribution to the judicial
18 retirement fund established in section 602.9104, in
19 the amount of 23.7 16.6 percent of the basic salaries
20 of the judges covered under chapter 602, article 9:

23 JUDICIAL RETIREMENT STATUTORY PROVISION
24 Sec. . Section 602.9104, subsection 4,
25 paragraph b, Code 2001, is amended to read as follows:
26 b. Effective with the fiscal year commencing July
27 1, 1994, and for each subsequent fiscal year until the
28 system attains fully funded status, based upon the
29 benefits provided for judges through the judicial
30 retirement system as of July 1, 2001, the state shall
31 contribute annually to the judicial retirement fund an
32 amount equal to at least twenty-three and seven-tenths
33 sixteen and six-tenths percent of the basic salary of
34 all judges covered under this article. Commencing
35 with the first fiscal year in which the system attains
36 fully funded status, based upon the benefits provided
37 for judges through the judicial retirement system as
38 of July 1, 2001, and for each subsequent fiscal year,
39 the state shall contribute to the judicial retirement
40 fund the required contribution rate. The state's
41 contribution shall be appropriated directly to the
42 judicial retirement fund.

45 Sec. . 2000 Iowa Acts, chapter 1216, section 1,
46 subsections 1 and 2, are amended to read as follows:
47 1. For airport engineering studies and improvement
48 projects as provided in chapter 328:
