1 The chief clerk shall certify the passage of each
2 bill and note the date of its passage.

4 Rereferral
5 A bill may be rereferred at any time before its
6 passage and after the report of its referral to
7 committee.
8 Rule 44
9 Effect of Indefinite Postponement
10 When a question is indefinitely postponed, it shall
11 not be acted upon again during that session. Any bill
12 which receives a committee recommendation of
13 indefinite postponement shall be disposed of within
14 three legislative days after the printed journal
15 containing the report has been placed upon the desks
16 of the members of the house, or the committee
17 recommendation will be considered adopted.

19 Status of Bills Following
20 First Regular Session
21 Except for those bills which have been adopted by
22 both houses in different forms, all bills which have
23 not been withdrawn, defeated or indefinitely
24 postponed, shall be rereferred to committee upon
25 adjournment of the first regular session. Within
26 seven days after the first committee meeting following
27 convening of the second regular session, the committee
28 chair shall submit the bill to the full committee for
29 action or the chair shall reassign the bill to a
30 subcommittee.

4 All committees shall be appointed by the speaker,
5 unless otherwise especially directed by the house.

8 When a resolution is offered or a motion made to
9 refer any subject, and different committees are
10 proposed, the question shall be taken in the following
11 order: The committee of the whole house; a standing
12 committee; a select committee.
