The House met pursuant to adjournment at 8:45 a.m., Speaker
Siegrist in the chair.
Prayer was offered by Reverend Joseph A. Lambert, pastor of Our
Savior’s Lutheran and Stratford Lutheran Churches, Stanhope.
The Journal of Monday, February 12, 2001 was approved.
PETITION FILED
The following petition was received and placed on file:
By Wise of Lee from eight hundred citizens opposing the high
differential in natural gas rates from community to community, and
requesting the intervention by state government.
INTRODUCTION OF BILLS
House File 240, by Teig, a bill for an act relating to the local sales
and services tax and its repeal and change in use of the tax revenues,
repealing the authority to impose a local vehicle tax, and including an
effective date.
Read first time and referred to committee on ways and means.
House File 241, by Mascher, a bill for an act relating to the
confidentiality of certain domestic abuse records.
Read first time and referred to committee on judiciary.
House File 242, by Mascher, Lensing, Myers, and Foege, a bill for
an act designating lake Macbride as a protected water area.
Read first time and referred to committee on natural resources.
