The House met pursuant to adjournment at 8:47 a.m., Speaker pro
tempore Sukup in the chair.
Prayer was offered by the Honorable Cecil Dolecheck, state
representative from Ringgold County.
The Journal of Wednesday, February 7, 2001 was approved.
LEAVE OF ABSENCE
Leave of absence was granted as follows:
Garman of Story, until her arrival, on request of Rants of Woodbury; Mertz of
Kossuth, until her arrival, by Myers of Johnson; Witt of Black Hawk, until his arrival,
by Wise of Lee.
INTRODUCTION OF BILLS
House File 222, by committee on commerce and regulation, a bill
for an act permitting banks in Iowa to establish additional bank
offices, and containing effective dates.
Read first time and placed on calendar.
House File 223, by Grundberg and Shey, a bill for an act relating
to dependent tax credits under the individual income tax for
household services and care for certain dependents and including a
retroactive applicability date provision.
Read first time and referred to committee on ways and means.
House File 224, by Atteberry, a bill for an act relating to the
nondisclosure of certain information contained in psychological test
material.
