HOUSE STUDY BILL COMMITTEE ASSIGNMENTS
H.S.B. 17 State Government
Allowing elections in certain cities to be conducted by mail ballots and
providing penalties.
H.S.B. 18 State Government
Relating to the office of secretary of state and the conduct of elections
and voter registration in the state and providing effective and
applicability dates.
H.S.B. 19 State Government
Relating to youth participation in the electoral process.
H.S.B. 20 State Government
Relating to the terms "registered voter", "eligible elector", and
"qualified voter" for purposes of elections, voter registration, statutory
petition requirements, absentee voting by armed forces, and drainage
district elections.
H.S.B. 21 State Government
Relating to persons authorized to occupy a voting booth with a voter.
H.S.B. 22 State Government
Requiring the state registrar of voters to contract for evaluating and
updating Iowa's voter registration and elections computer systems.
H.S.B. 23 State Government
Relating to the regulation of games of skill or chance, subjecting
violators to criminal and civil penalties, and appropriating certain
penalties to the department of inspections and appeals.
