  1  4 RELATING TO APPEALS FILED IN JUVENILE COURT PROCEEDINGS.

  1  6 BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF IOWA:
  1  7 
  1  8    Section 1.  Section 232.133, subsections 1 and 2, Code
  1  9 2001, are amended to read as follows:
  1 10    1.  An interested party aggrieved by an order or decree of
  1 11 the juvenile court may appeal from the court for review of
  1 12 questions of law or fact.  However, an order adjudicating a
  1 13 child to have committed a delinquent act, entered pursuant to
  1 14 section 232.47, shall not be appealed until the court enters a
  1 15 corresponding dispositional order pursuant to section 232.52.
  1 16 An appeal that affects the custody of a child shall be heard
  1 17 at the earliest practicable time.

  1 21 from the district court provided that when such order or
  1 22 decree affects the custody of a child the appeal shall be

  1 25 final orders entered pursuant to section 232.117.
