1 3 #1. Page 57, by inserting after line 26 the
1 4 following:
1 5 "Sec. . COMMUNITY COLLEGES. There is
1 6 appropriated from the general fund of the state to the
1 7 department of education for the fiscal year beginning
1 8 July 1, 2002, and ending June 30, 2003, the following
1 9 amount, or so much thereof as is necessary, for the
1 10 purposes designated:
1 11 For general state financial aid, including general
1 12 financial aid to merged areas in lieu of personal
1 13 property tax replacement payments, to merged areas as
1 14 defined in section 260C.2, for vocational education
1 15 programs in accordance with chapters 258 and 260C:
1 16 .................................................. $ 4,000,000
1 17 The amount appropriated in this section is a
1 18 supplemental appropriation to that appropriated in
1 19 2002 Iowa Acts, Senate File 2326, section 79,
1 20 subsection 18, if enacted, as amended by section 106
1 21 of this division of this Act, if enacted. The
1 22 appropriation shall be distributed to each community
1 23 college on a pro rata basis based upon the amount
1 24 appropriated to each community college in section 106
1 25 of this division of this Act, if enacted."
