  1  1    Amend House File 2515, as amended, passed, and
  1  2 reprinted by the House, as follows:
  1  3    #1.  Page 5, by inserting after line 13, the
  1  4 following:
  1  5    "Sec. 301.  Section 275.23A, subsection 2, Code
  1  6 2001, is amended to read as follows:
  1  7    2.  Following each federal decennial census the
  1  8 school board shall determine whether the existing
  1  9 director district boundaries meet the standards in
  1 10 subsection 1 according to the most recent federal
  1 11 decennial census.  If necessary, the board of
  1 12 directors shall redraw the director district
  1 13 boundaries.  The director district boundaries shall be
  1 14 described in a resolution adopted by the school board.
  1 15 The resolution shall be adopted no earlier than
  1 16 November 15 of the year immediately following the year
  1 17 in which the federal decennial census is taken nor
  1 18 later than April 30 May 15 of the second year
  1 19 immediately following the year in which the federal
  1 20 decennial census is taken.  A copy of the plan shall
  1 21 be filed with the area education agency administrator
  1 22 of the area education agency in which the school's
  1 23 electors reside."
  1 24    #2.  Page 21, by inserting after line 32, the
  1 25 following:
  1 26    "Sec.    .  EFFECTIVE DATE.  Section 301 of this
  1 27 Act, amending section 275.23A, subsection 2, being
  1 28 deemed of immediate importance, takes effect upon
  1 29 enactment."
  1 30    #3.  Title page, line 2, by inserting after the
  1 31 word "education" the following:  "and school boards".
  1 32    #4.  By renumbering as necessary.
