  1  1    Amend the House amendment, S-5272, to Senate File
  1  2 2190, as amended, passed, and reprinted by the Senate,
  1  3 as follows:
  1  4    #1.  Page 2, by inserting after line 43 the
  1  5 following:
  1  6    "Sec.    .  Section 85.34, Code 2001, is amended by
  1  7 adding the following new subsection:
  1  8    NEW SUBSECTION.  8.  REINSTATEMENT TO WORK.  An
  1  9 employee who has suffered an injury which is
  1 10 compensable under this chapter or chapter 85A shall
  1 11 not have the employee's employment terminated by the
  1 12 employee's employer as a result of the injury.  If an
  1 13 employee suffers a permanent partial disability under
  1 14 this chapter or chapter 85A, the employer shall return
  1 15 the employee to work performing duties that shall be
  1 16 consistent with any restrictions on the employee as a
  1 17 result of the disability.""
