1 1 Amend the amendment, S-5093, to Senate File 2106 as
1 2 follows:
1 3 #1. By striking page 1, line 4, through page 4,
1 4 line 6, and inserting the following:
1 5 "Section 1. Section 256.11, subsection 5,
1 6 paragraph j, Code Supplement 2001, is amended to read
1 7 as follows:
1 8 j. One unit of health education which shall
1 9 include personal health; food and nutrition;
1 10 environmental health; safety and survival skills;
1 11 consumer health; family life; human growth and
1 12 development; substance abuse and nonuse; emotional and
1 13 social health; health resources; and prevention and
1 14 control of disease, including sexually transmitted
1 15 diseases and acquired immune deficiency syndrome. The
1 16 family life component in grades eleven and twelve
1 17 shall include instruction regarding marriage and the
1 18 family."
1 19 #2. Title page, lines 1 and 2, by striking the
1 20 words "covenant marriages and providing an effective
1 21 date" and inserting the following: "an educational
1 22 standards requirement relating to marriage and
1 23 family".
