  1  1    Amend House File 742, as amended, passed, and
  1  2 reprinted by the House, as follows:
  1  3    #1.  Page 3, by inserting before line 24 the
  1  4 following:  
  1  5                "DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION
  1  6    Sec.    .  There is appropriated from the rebuild
  1  7 Iowa infrastructure fund to the department of
  1  8 education for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2001,
  1  9 and ending June 30, 2002, the following amount, to be
  1 10 used for the purpose designated:
  1 11    To provide resources for structural and
  1 12 technological improvements to local libraries,
  1 13 notwithstanding section 8.57, subsection 5, paragraph
  1 14 "c":  
  1 15 .................................................. $    500,000"
  1 16    #2.  By renumbering, redesignating, and correcting
  1 17 internal references as necessary.
