1 3 #1. Page 4, by inserting after line 23 the
1 4 following:
1 5 "Sec. ___. Section 483A.8, Code 2001, is amended
1 6 by adding the following new subsection:
1 7 NEW SUBSECTION. 6. The commission shall
1 8 establish, by rule, a special drawing of one thousand
1 9 any sex deer licenses for nonresident applicants. The
1 10 one thousand deer licenses shall be in addition to the
1 11 nonresident deer licenses authorized pursuant to
1 12 subsection 3. The special nonresident license fee is
1 13 five hundred dollars. A successful applicant shall
1 14 also pay the fees for a nonresident hunting license
1 15 and the wildlife habitat fee and meet the other
1 16 requirements of subsection 3 relating to proof of
1 17 having successfully completed a hunter safety and
1 18 ethics education program. The commission shall
1 19 allocate the special licenses issued among the zones
1 20 based on the population of deer. However, a
1 21 nonresident hunter receiving a license pursuant to the
1 22 subsection may request one or more hunting zones, in
1 23 order of preference, in which the hunter wishes to
1 24 hunt."
