  1  1    Amend House File 755, as amended, passed, and
  1  2 reprinted by the House, as follows:
  1  3    #1.  Page 9, by inserting after line 21 the
  1  4 following:
  1  5    "Sec.    .  DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION.  There is
  1  6 appropriated from the general fund of the state to the
  1  7 department of education for the fiscal year beginning
  1  8 July 1, 2001, and ending June 30, 2002, the following
  1  9 amounts, or so much thereof as is necessary, to be
  1 10 used for the purposes designated:
  1 11    1.  AMERICORPS AFTER-SCHOOL INITIATIVE
  1 12    For purposes of the americorps after-school
  1 13 initiative:  
  1 14 .................................................. $    150,000
  1 15    2.  JOBS FOR AMERICA'S GRADUATES
  1 16    For school districts to provide direct services to
  1 17 the most at-risk senior high school students enrolled
  1 18 in school districts through direct intervention for a
  1 19 "jobs for America's graduates" specialist:  
  1 20 .................................................. $    150,000
  1 21    Sec.    .  DEPARTMENT OF HUMAN SERVICES.  There is
  1 22 appropriated from the general fund of the state to the
  1 23 department of human services for the fiscal year
  1 24 beginning July 1, 2001, and ending June 30, 2002, the
  1 25 following amount, or so much thereof as is necessary,
  1 26 to be used for the purpose designated:
  1 27    To supplement the appropriation made in 2001 Iowa
  1 28 Acts, House File 732, if enacted, for general
  1 29 administration, including salaries, support,
  1 30 maintenance, and miscellaneous purposes:  
  1 31 .................................................. $  2,000,000"
