  1  1    Amend House File 637, as amended, passed, and
  1  2 reprinted by the House, as follows:
  1  3    #1.  Page 13, by striking lines 26 through 32 and
  1  4 inserting the following:
  1  5    "The maintenance of a county library established in
  1  6 accordance with this chapter shall be on the basis of
  1  7 each participating unit bearing its share of the total
  1  8 cost in proportion to its population as compared to
  1  9 the total population of the county library district.
  1 10 The board of library trustees shall make".
  1 11    #2.  Page 14, by inserting after line 19, the
  1 12 following:
  1 13    "This section shall not affect the taxing authority
  1 14 provided under section 256.69."
